How the story begins
In Fern Valley, the first warm morning brought a cheerful line of young dinosaurs to the meadow.
Kira, a small triceratops, watched them from beside a pile of smooth blue stones.
Today we mark the upper trail. The little ones will follow it to the summer meadow tomorrow.
I said I could place the first markers. My feet suddenly feel very small.
