How the story begins
On a quiet spring morning, Aki spotted a huge pink peach bobbing slowly down the clear river.
She carried it home in a woven basket while Ren warmed water in their little kitchen.
It opened, and a smiling baby lay inside, wrapped in a soft blue blanket.
“We will call him Momotaro—the Peach Boy!”
