How the story begins
By morning, Leo carried the preserved message to the pottery workshop. Mara went with him.
Tess Briggs answered their request. She remembered the exhibitor leaflet and agreed to discuss Nina Voss.
I sent that leaflet to Ruth. Her name was on our mailing list. It wasn't a personal letter from Nina.
We kept the envelope separate from Mother's unfinished card. We don't want the postmark to tell a story it can't.
